Over the past week or so some of the big financials have reported. Companies such as JPM are thriving. On one hand yes there is the depressing factor of possible future upward interest rate movements. But also I think the financial sector is an essential one; and is now a sector with far less competition. Companies have disappeared or are in the process (Citi ?!). Players such as JPM have filled the void.
