Skype to me seems to be in something of a rut. They need to add some serious value somewhere. Don’t forget that at a high level they’re competing with many many telcos with big budgets, and they’re also competing against technical ignorance. People simply prefer to pick up a phone thats plugged into the wall, period.

I am a user of skype because it’s cheap for me to call back to China. However, i don’t think its earning ability can be increased in the near future, even in the long run. Because there is high competition in this market. And the key point is if it’s embedded in devices, just like blackberry, why people use it? Why people call directly?
